Ok, My husband absolutely loves RC Helicopters (small ones), but he isn’t very much experienced, he just likes to fly them around, nothing else. I want to buy him a really nice one for xmas but everytime I buy him one it stops working after a few weeks, or doesn’t fly high enough, or just don’t stay up. Does anyone know of any good brands, that will work good..any recommendations?

Falcon 40 RTF 4-Channel Radio Remote Controlled RC Helicopter.

I am looking to buy a good rc heli and easy to fly, since this will be my 1st heli.
Is the above a good pick?
Also what is the differnce between a 4chl and other higher chnl heli’s
And can someone tell me a site on how to fly a 4 chnl if thats what I should get..

The Falcon 40 is a good helicopter if you know how to fly. Since you said, "1st heli", I assume you flew with a simulator before? If not, I suggest you get a coaxial helicopter. I personally started with the Blade CX. I suggest you get the E-Flite Blade CX2. (Better transmitter without the easy burnout) Coaxial helicopter make it easier to fly and it really isnt a big challenge once you get used to it. This helicopter should get you familiar with the controls of a helicopter. 4Ch means how much of the helicopter you could function.
The 4 channels are:
1. Throttle (left side of the controller- up and down)
2. Rudder (left side of the controller- rotates left and right)
3. Cyclic (right side of the controller- forward and backward, tilt left and right)

If you get some that are 3 channels, you get to control the throttle, rudder and the forward and backward flights. The 2 channels, you get to control the rudder and the height the helicopter flies at.

I got a Mosquito remote control heli from radio shack for christmas. It’s a lot of fun, but on the bottom of the heli there is a knob that goes left to right. My owner’s manual got thrown away
and i don’t know what it does. So what does it do? I think it might be dif. frequencies.

yes, that knob determines the frequencey that your heli is on so you know which heli is yours when you and a friend are flying multible helis.

I noticed that there was a project by MIT to fly RC Helicopters from a computer. It seems they connected the controller to the computer and ran a program to automate the flight of the helicopter from the computer instead of from the analog controller.

My mom has been asking what the name of that movie is and I don’t know. It’s about some kid who hangs out in a model home and one day two "bad guys" are hiding out in the house and the kid has to use his radio controlled toys to fight them or whatever. Kinda like Home Alone I guess. Does anyone know the name of this movie? Thanks =)
It’s not Home Alone. It’s a model home the kid is in and I don’t think he has any family in the movie. It’s just him and two bad guys who aren’t actually robbing they house. They’re hiding out in it.
