4 Remote Controlled Vehicles - Tips To Identify The Best One

There are many hobbies around the world but none more fun than the radio controlled hobbies that many people seem to enjoy. What could be more exciting than taking a fully efficient miniature vehicle version of a real car and driving or flying it? All it takes is a basic familiarity for motors and the radio equipment for you to join in.

1. Remote Control Cars -

Many men remember when they were young boys getting a remote controlled car to play with. Due to this, it is not surprising that this simple yet exciting toy is still the most fun. However, many may argue that this is no longer true.

These cars are created so the user can steer, speed up and slow down as they need it. Nowadays, this can be done in a couple of ways.

Some cars are designed to be battery operated; others are equipped with a gasoline or nitro methane engine. Why would someone change their car? Many notice that battery powered cars have less speed than gas or nitro fitted. These cars can come in kits that are already pre-done, meaning there are no special parts that can be added. (This is a good idea for someone new at remote control cars.) People can also build their remote control car from scratch meaning they will take parts from anywhere to make and design their car.

2. Remote Control Boats -

While a remote control car is very popular to have, for enthusiasts having a boat can be fun too. It is pretty easy to convert toy boat and make it into one that can be controlled by remote. The only issue to this is the boat’s electrical parts and engine need to be kept in a waterproof area.

How can a person keep the engine and electric parts from getting shorted out? It can be done by positioning the engine in the boat’s hull with the propeller coming out from under the water into a water tight seal.

It would not be a bad thinking to acquire a kit with a pre-made boat. This can save time and money from trying to create your own, which could cause waterlogged or even ruined engines.

3. Remote Control Planes -

Remote control planes cause the most problems for people but more so for beginners. Why? Planes need accurate measurements and calculations to keep in the air.

It is easy to procure a kit to make a plane. In the kit there will be pieces that will need to be cut out and all you will have to do is bond them together. After that, you can add the radio and motor equipment. Should you be of the audacious type, you can purchase wood of lightweight origin and make a plane done from scratch using the wood and other plane parts.

4. Remote Control Helicopters -

Helicopters, like planes, are not the only thing that can be flown in the air. Like a plane, the costs is relatively the same. Although a helicopter is able to go backwards, forwards and hover mid-air unlike a plane.

With four different types of remote control vehicles to choose from, all that is stopping you from enjoying this technological hobby is you.

Remote Control Helicopters?

My husband has always wanted a remote control helicopter. He is 31 now and I want to surprise him and get a nice one for him for Christmas. I don’t know anything about them and I don’t want to get a cheesy one. I want a nice one appropriate for an adult. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Well… I’m sure whatever you get him, he will appreciate it. Depending on how much you want to spend, I would recommend the following:
Air Hogs Havoc, is a 2 channel helicopter. It is made child-proof, like all Air Hogs product and it is nearly indestructible. It could hit someone and they wouldn’t be hurt too severely. This helicopter is lot of fun for people of all ages.

The Blade MCX is a good helicopter for people who are a bit mature about the helicopter hobby. It runs are about $110 USD and it mimics the controls of a real helicopter. It is a coaxial helicopter that makes hovering easy. This means that if you let go of all the controls, except for the throttle, it should make the helicopter hover in one place for a period of time.

As long as you get an RC helicopter from a Hobby shop, or you get something from Air Hogs from a toy store, then you’re ok. If you buy one from an uncertified shop like those booths in the mall, youre in trouble…That means you better wear something sexy for his birthday.

Can the propeller on a remote control helicopter cut off your fingers?

Are remote control helicopters dangerous?

Depends on the chopper. If its anything more than an entry level RC chopper then yes, it could chop your finger off. They are very powerful and should only be handled my mature people who exercise care.

How to control the Remote Controlled Helicopter on Battlefield Bad Company 2?

Could someone enlighten me on how to control (successfully) the helicopter on the PS3 Version of BFBC2, I can get it to move, just want to know how to get it to do anything else

press L1 to fly up i think its L2 to go down. tilt L3 (left joy stick) to to ajust angle. tilt R3 to adjust axis. R1 to fire missile. You must keep your cusor on your target for about 3 seconds before it actually hits the target. it has very low health so if your taking fire get out of there and find an someone to fix it up.

Megachopper II - Indoor/Outdoor Remote Control Helicopter - Orange - 49MHZ

Megatech’s Megachopper is by far the most stable, 100% assembled, indoor/outdoor, ready-to-fly helicopter ever offered, period! The precision synchronization of its CBR-Drive (Contra Balanced Rotational Drive), keeps the twin rotors rotating in exact harmony. Accordingly, the Megachopper performs rock-steady hovering right out of the box. Also adding to the Megachopper’s fantastic, easy-going flying characteristics is centrifugal stabilization offered by the weight fly-bar, a feature normally found on much more expensive model helicopters. Fly day and night with operating navigational lights. Heights to over 100 feet! The Megachopper features variable speed controls on the transmitter, and when you alternate the hover and turbo buttons, you can make the Megachopper perform steady veering maneuvers. Each chopper comes with 6 sets of decals. Choose one of the following, Coast Guard, Fire-Rescue, Police, MedEvac, News, Secret Service to customize yours. Eight C batteries and one 9V battery are sold separately.

What is a good remote control helicopter?

Required things:
Long flight time on full charge
Not a long flight time
Looks good
Under $200
Durable
Larger than those helicopters you see in Brookstone or on tv (example: Havoc Heli)
Is nice and will last

If it is worth it i would be willing to go over my price by a little but im saving for a Nikon D5000 so not very much
and the first answer will not do :) lol

One that works!

I want to buy an remote controlled helicopter?

I want to buy an rc heli and i was thinking of coaxial but i want something that’s maneuverable and stable and that doesn’t cost to much so i could fly it indoors and outside

depends on your budget if your willing to pay between 50-100dollars then you should get a 4 channel AH-64 helicopter. Its fun to fly inside and outside at certian weather condition. Just no rain and heavy winds
