Can radio controlled helicopter fuel go off? How long can I keep it for?

Heli fuel doesn’t go ‘off’ in the going bad sense. With the right storage conditions it is possible to store it for as long a 5 years but the real problem is whether you can avoid it becoming contaminated with moisture from the air. Each time the fuel is exposed to the air, it absorbs moisture and this can then prevent your model from running as smoothly as it might as the fuel burns. The worst thing you can do is to decant unused fuel back into its container as the re-poured fuel will suck moisture out of the air and then contaminate the pure stuff. If possible, always expel as much air from your storage bottle before tightening the cap.
