does anyone know about remote control helicopters?
just bought one and know nothing about it. don’t know how to turn it on or use the battery charger or what to charge it off.
i have a blade 400 and have bought second hand. only instructions are for the remote not the chopper. plugged charger onto it and there was a light at first but it went out. other than that step have no idea how to get it going from remote. turn power on and thats as far as it goes. its a spectrum dx6 remote control. HELP
Hi,
First off, do not attempt to fly this until you have learned much more about your heli. A single crash can do a lot of damage that you do not yet have the experience to properly troubleshoot and repair.
I posted links to several dedicated helicopter forums. Go there. Start reading. Read some more. When you are sick of reading, read some more. THEN, ask some questions there.

You have purchased a used RC helicopter, and RC heli flight is about the most difficult there is.
You are going to have to learn about your electronics, about heli mechanics and about heli flight. Without a proper understanding of all these, you have about zero % chance of success, and about 100% chance of breaking your heli trying to fly.
I am not trying to shoot down your hopes for a fun hobby. I just want you to know that you have a steep learning curve even if the heli is set up properly, and you often do not know if it is when you buy used.
Did you buy it from an acquaintance? If so, enlist their help. If not, seriously consider looking at the AMA site for local RC clubs.

Good luck!

there is a plug in it should be white (if electric) u unplug those too , and it should come with a charger and you plug one end (male) i beleive , and it light up red , after the light goes out , its charged , if you dont have a charger you need to purchace one at an rc specialty shop. for more answers go to an rc shop , bring your helicopter and they will show you step by step , and what accecories it comes with and what you can buy for it….. if ya bought it at like wal-mart or a toy store .. read the instructions
