    This is a normal 90 …
This is a normal 90 size piston engine with a very big cooling fan and pushes all the air trough the tail and goes in 90° to the left side.
No electronic device is used for flying this 5-blade rotor head what is more difficult to fly than a 2-head rotor with flybar.
That day there was strong wind.
Thanks for the reactions, Guy (Belgium)

    That is a …
That is a beautiful model and nice flying. I take it that it powered by a turbine? How about a vid of how the NOTAR in it works? I am curious as to how it vents the hot air…

    Sorry if I …
Sorry if I misunderstood you, but my comment was not to be negative. I get sick of people with big scale helis and all they can do is hover. Part of having a big heli is being able to fly it well, as is clearly demonstrated here. Flying is to have fun, yet challenge your skills.

    I would dispute …
I would dispute that statement. The MD-900 we fly can out perform any tail rotor system out there for civilian use. The 900 is definitly without question the best performing rotor wing aircraft out there.

about $1000 just fuselage and engine, then count rc radio and electrics, approx something like 1500 with a middle class sport radio and 50 size engine.

Thanks you for the reaction. Yes in turbine but how? Yes it’s a 5-blade and difficult to hanle in wind. This one flies without stabilization system!! My name is Guy Vanderschelden, pilot and owner of this MD900.
    Greetings, Guy

You really know how to fly. I like to see a good video of a helicopter flying, not just hovering at 2 feet off the deck.

    MD makes a sexy …
MD makes a sexy heli and yours looks great. You should think about swapping the engine with a turbine - that would be the icing on the cake. That’s a 5 blade head right?

hi , iff you see very well in the tail , you see a black whole where the compressed air is getting out . its works together with a gyro and a cervo ( mixed ) the fresh air gets in from the bottem . he flys with 30% nitro . becouse he needs a lot off power for the system

    the NOTAR …
the NOTAR helicopters are becoming more popular now because of the safety, but the the notar isnt as nimble to control as a standard T/R
