Remote Control Helicopters?

My husband has always wanted a remote control helicopter. He is 31 now and I want to surprise him and get a nice one for him for Christmas. I don’t know anything about them and I don’t want to get a cheesy one. I want a nice one appropriate for an adult. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Well… I’m sure whatever you get him, he will appreciate it. Depending on how much you want to spend, I would recommend the following:
Air Hogs Havoc, is a 2 channel helicopter. It is made child-proof, like all Air Hogs product and it is nearly indestructible. It could hit someone and they wouldn’t be hurt too severely. This helicopter is lot of fun for people of all ages.

The Blade MCX is a good helicopter for people who are a bit mature about the helicopter hobby. It runs are about $110 USD and it mimics the controls of a real helicopter. It is a coaxial helicopter that makes hovering easy. This means that if you let go of all the controls, except for the throttle, it should make the helicopter hover in one place for a period of time.

As long as you get an RC helicopter from a Hobby shop, or you get something from Air Hogs from a toy store, then you’re ok. If you buy one from an uncertified shop like those booths in the mall, youre in trouble…That means you better wear something sexy for his birthday.

If you husband has never flown RC then the adult ones are to difficult to learn on. Get a cheap $30 one at a toy store or hobby shop to learn on. They are fun in the house.. then you can get a better one later. Get two so you can fly together. It is more fun to do things together.
